Platt Park

Covering just under two square miles, Platt Park is a thriving community in Denver. Named after former US Representative James Platt, the neighborhood is lined with spacious homes, scenic streets. Since it is less than five miles away from downtown, many working professionals prefer to live in this beautiful area and commute into the city.

One of the main focal points for this neighborhood is the local Platt Park, for which the area is named. The park is great place to play sports or enjoy a picnic lunch. Residents can also buy fresh products during the spring, summer and fall at the South Pearl St. farmer's market.  Summer is also when the South Pearl Street concert series takes place and people gather from all parts of denver to take place in the festivities.

Proud residents can also join the neighborhood association. Membership for this Denver organization is open to any local business owner or home owners within the Platte neighborhood. There are a variety of committees for members to choose from, including ones that focus on safety, neighborhood schools, and local events. Many residents choose to live in Platt Park due to the strong sense of community pride.
